I've never considered myself a “real” blogger. Sure, I've written plenty of blog posts for our business as part of my job, but those were strictly industry-focused—never personal or controversial. And while I’m deeply passionate about some of those topics—like fair and equitable treatment of employees—the writing has always been intentionally neutral, stripped of any strong personal emotion.

Then came the 2024 elections, which I (like many others) saw as a betrayal of our people, our institutions, our systems, and the democracy we rely on. Not to mention an outright assault on my and my LGTBQ+ community's rights and safety. Feelings of anger, despair, fear, hopelessness, and even rage started building, swirling inside me without an outlet.

This blog is that outlet. What started as a few Facebook posts has become a space for me to process everything I’m feeling—raw, unfiltered, and unapologetic—and hopefully, a space for others to do the same. Most importantly, it’s a place to validate others, to tell them they’re seen, heard, and not alone.

So maybe I am meant to be a “real” blogger after all. Time will tell.
